| The Civil Resource Development and Documentation Centre (CIRDDOC) Nigeria is an independent, non-governmental and not-for-profit organisation. CIRDDOC was established in 1996 for the protection and promotion of human rights and women's human rights and the strengthening of civil society. CIRDDOC is registered under Part C of Companies and Allied Matters Act, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 1990.

| Structure |
| A Board of Trustees of three men and three women supported by an Academic Advisory Council of two men and two women and Executive Committee governs CIRDDOC. An Executive Director heads the core of the day to day operations of CIRDDOC Nigeria. CIRDDOC operates through five departments as follows: General Services and Administration, Accounts, Training and Programmes, Library/Resource Centre and Legal Services.

| Staffing |
CIRDDOC presently has a full time staff strength of 21, 2 interns and 3 volunteers with experience in the fields of Law, Social Sciences, Education and Information Science. CIRDDOC practices equal opportunities in employment. Staff development and Capacity building is a continuous process and top priority in CIRDDOC.
During the year under review, an external Resource person, Mrs. Barbara Hazeit-Sievers conducted two computer appreciation programmes for CIRDDOC staff after which they were issued with certificates. From time to time, project management training programmes are organised for staff.
